Wedding Photography & Videography isn’t just a job or a service, it’s a duty.
The importance of capturing a wedding day goes far more beyond than you can imagine, especially for us. To prove this, we have dedicated this page on our website for Harry, who played a huge role for Laura & Dan’s wedding day on the 20th October 2023.
It’s so scary to see how life can change in a blink of an eye. Laura emailed me just 10 days after their wedding with the sad news of Harry. Something that I’ve never experienced before within my business and it has deeply saddened me.
My heart goes out to all of Harry’s family and friends. Harry was such an incredible person.
Harry, you absolutely nailed your speech. You had me laughing at the back of the room with your stories and you also had me crying from your sentimental words. This is the reason why I believe having a wedding videographer is so important. Without my appearance, sadly overtime Laura & Dan would’ve slowly forgot what Harry said at their wedding because that’s just what naturally happens. All they would have been left with are the professional photos from the photographer which in my opinion, just isn’t enough once someone passes away. Granted, some guests might have taken a few clips of his speech but the difference between me and them holds so much more value. Thankfully due to what I do for a living, this wedding couple can re-live those memories perfectly.
Laura & Dan had the most magical and fun wedding day which I had the pleasure of capturing. From start to finish, all of the guests at their wedding were incredible. Even though I was just the wedding videographer, I personally felt as if I was one of their friends. The amount of laughs we shared cannot go a miss.
I may have only met Harry once but I could see his importance from the get go. Harry played a vital role at their wedding and smashed it out the park.
During the first dance there was such a special moment between Harry and Dan which I know for a fact that he will cherish forever.
This is another reason for having a wedding videographer, just watch for yourself. How incredible is it to physically see those mannerisms between them both. It gives me chills.
Harry, you made me laugh so much on the wedding day and we had only just met. I am more than honoured to have captured some amazing footage of you and your best friend on his special wedding day.
Don’t REGRET IT
The number one regret for wedding couples is simply not budgeting for a wedding videographer. Or they simply just think it’s a waste of money. Not many people actually value the time and effort we put into capturing a wedding day which is a shame. It’s way more than just pointing a camera. You need to be able to capture crystal clear audio, continuously check focus, frame up, watch everyone for reactions and most importantly listen to your surroundings so you can act upon them to capture.
Don’t even get me started with the editing.
As wedding videography is always at the bottom of the list, wedding couples just hire the cheapest they can find online which just doesn’t guarantee the memories they deserve. This infuriates me more than anything in the world, simply because I care so much. A wedding day is a one shot take, there are no room for mistakes. Mistakes cost memories. With my knowledge, experience and empathy I know I can guarantee memories which is why I’m worth what I say.
